As we leave the Port of Kotor, we glide past the striking 16th-century St. Matthew’s Church. Standing proudly right at the water’s edge, this maritime temple holds deep historical significance and houses a priceless collection of Renaissance art, most notably the famous Madonna and Child painting by the Italian master Giovanni Bellini.
- The Ancient Settlement of Stoliv
Next, we pass Stoliv, a peaceful, time-capsule fisherman’s village dating back to the 14th century. Nestled where the steep mountains plunge into the sea, Stoliv is famous for its healing microclimate—where mountain and marine winds mix with 548 types of local therapeutic herbs. Keep an eye out for the lush greenery; Stoliv is renowned for its beautiful camellia flowers, first brought here by local sailors from Japan in the 18th century.
- Our Lady of the Rocks Islet (Guided Stop)
We make a dedicated stop at the world-famous, man-made island of Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela).
